Curse of Mankind tells a story we all share: Global warming, rainforests on fire, oceans being polluted. The Earth in danger because of human greed.
The song was written last year, but also reflects the pandemic sitiuation we are living in. Specially in Brazil.
The song has a webclipe on YouTube that was part of two online festivals: Rock Nas Alturas (Philanthropy Festival for APAE in Brazil), and on "Quarentena Rock Online Festival IV", promoted by Heavy Talk YouTube Channel, which has more than 55K subscribers.
Curse of Mankind is the second single for Fenrir's Scar new album, "Love|Hate|Hope|Despair"
lyrics
Fire is burning from the ground
Acid rain bathing us all
Look how “beautiful and calm” is the world we live now
How greedy were you during this time?
How merciful could you have been and were not?
Now come and see, the agony
Come and see, the trial of madness
Dead bodies dancing their final dance
Now come and see, the apathy
Come and see, the wreck of the broken
Come and see the beaten souls paying the price
And it feels like, I'm fighting to stay alive
To walk across the Earth
The place who gave me birth
And now its claiming its rights
Oceans are being tattooed with oil
Mother nature is being raped
By your greed, your oh so pure greed
Now put your make up on,
Wear the best dress you have
And raise your glass to honor the undead
Now come and see, the agony
Come and see, the trial of madness
Dead bodies dancing their final dance
Now come and see, the apathy
Come and see, the wreck of the broken
Come and see the beaten souls paying the price
And it feels like, I'm fighting to stay alive
To walk across the Earth
The place who gave me birth
And now its claiming its rights
And it feels like, I'm fighting to stay alive
To walk across the Earth
The place who gave me birth
And now its claiming its rights
And it feels and it feels and it feels that Im dying inside
How many fights will I have to fight?
Am I worthy of being alive?
My heart and soul entwined with mother Gaia’s pride
So now I carry on
